RED day!

Please enjoy! The pictures took us 2 days to upload!

NDP 2008!

Oh yes, we were among the lucky 27,000 spectators that got the much-chased-after NDP tickets! Made our way 2-3 hours earlier ; only to find that we are *not* the only early ones around. Thats Singaporeans for you!

Right pic: The entry point to the seating gallery. We collected our goodie bags. Goodie bag was fill with stuff from snacks, drinks, poncho, axe oil to vouchers (my fav!)

The view from our seats was good. Since we came early, we had the privileged to choose! The only problem was theres this long camera pole that partially block the view.

This is the Pre-parade segment that you dont get to see.

I forgotten whats on the left picture. The right picture show the motivators. They are the ones that so-call 'keep the energy of the crowd high'

The parachuters. Early part of NDP. What you dont get to see was one of the parachuters actually fell while landing. But, he managed.

By this time, everyone had started to wear the poncho. The drizzle got me worried actually but I was thankful that it did not pour so badly that the parade will be cancel.

Some side-dish before the actual parade itself. The military band make their entrance. Then theres some stunts by the Civil Defense and the Traffic Police.

The Parade! It was no doubt one of my favourite segments. The GOH (Guard Of Honor) never fails to awe me with their precise timing and movement.

I think this year Parade Commander had one of the clearest Malay pronounciation.

The Colour Party marched in. Yet, one of my favourites :) I would be so proud if I had the chance to be the flag bearer again!

Our President arrived, inspected the parade and wave at us. I was so close that I can just jump down and shake his hand! But, I guess I dont want to risk getting shot down. Oh well.

We sang the National Anthem. The atmosphere was so different singing over there. It was a proud moment.

& who could resists The Black Knights! Everyone - Idzwan included was busy taking pictures. The stunts were perfect! I felt like a child then. Haha

You may not see this clearly.

Picture on the left: Shows the beautiful fly past near the high skyscrapers. Picture perfect, really.
Picture on the right: Is actually a heart shape created by the Black Knights!

One of the stunt that was capture on camera - airplanes was flying so closely and they dodge each other well.

What you dont get to see on tv was actually the camera shooting inside the pit of the pilot as he wishes Singapore. That was cool!

Idzwan and I, with the NDP cap that got lights on it! It work beautifully when its all dark.

The night acts started. Im never a fan of the arts perfomance. Usually if Im watching at home, I'll just be yawning away. This year - no difference.

The Finale!

Picture on the right: Is the closest view of Hady I can get. Sorry Siti. He was super far from the stage. We started singing past NDP theme songs. It was a super patriotic moment. Haha.

& of course, what is NDP without its fireworks right? It was madness! Super loud, super bright, super pretty! I did not upload much fireworks picture though.

Happy National Day! I love my country!
